 This is the second of a series of three related articles by Martyr Murtada Mutahhari on topics relating to soul, life, and evolution and published in a collection entitled Maqalat-e falsafi (Philosophical Essays). The Persian titles of these essays are: "Asalat-e ruh","Qur'an wa hayat," and "Tawhid wa takammul". There are three more essays in this collection entitled: "Pursishha-ye falsafi-ye Abu Rayhan az Bu `Ali," "Asl-e tadadd dar falsafah-ye Islami," and "Bahth-e harakat."
