Kitabu hiki kinahusu maisha ya Sahaba mkubwa na mashuhuri: Abudhar (Jundab bin Junadah). Abudhar alikuwa mtu wa tano kuingia kwenye Uislamu na upanga wake ulikuwa unafaa sana katika kuendeleza Uislamu. Aliona mikengeuko mingi katika Uislamu tangu kuanza kwake, na baada ya kifo cha Mtukufu Mtume (s) mambo hayakuwa mazuri. Alishuhudia mitafaruku mingi wakati wa makhalifa watatu wa mwanzo kiasi kwamba hakuweza kuvumilia, na alianza kukemea maovu yanayofanywa na makhalifa wazi wazi na kwa ujasiri mkubwa sana mpaka ikafikia Khalifa wa tatu kuchukua hatua za kumhamisha na kumpeleka jangwani ambakoaliishi maisha ya dhiki mpaka kifo kikamkuta huko.
Kwa bahati mbaya sana wanahistoria wengi wa Kiislamu na wasio wa Kiislamu hawakuzungumza habari zake kwa kina na kama inavyostahiki kuwa. Kwa hakika Abudhar pamoja na Masahaba wengine kama vile Amaar bin Yasir, Mikidadi, Salman Farsy, halikadhalika na ami yake Mtukufu Mtume (s), mzee Abu Twalib na mke wa Mtume Bibi Khadija, alikuwa ni madhulumu wa historia.
