Destruction of Shrines in Samarra
In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad and his family.
The Ahlul Bayt DILP Team strongly condemns the Bombing of the Al-Askari Mosque, on the 22nd of Feburary 2006, causing the tragic destruction of the Holy Shrines. This crime comes as a shock to all Muslims, especially the Shia as the Al-Askari Mosque is one of the Holiest Shrines. It is the resting place of the 10th Imam (Ali Al-Naqi) and 11th Imam (Hassan Al-Askari), who are the descendants of the Prophet Muhammad (saw). It is also highly regarded that a place nearby is where the living 12th Imam went into occultation. In this time of difficulty we pray to Allah for unity in the muslim community, justice to be done, and patience to deal with this tragedy.
