Cet ouvrage, écrit par notre Ayatoullah Mohamed Baqer al-Sadr, est une introduction à l’économie islamique. L’extrait suivant présente mieux que tout la teneur de ce petit ouvrage :
« Les intellectuels occidentaux et occidentalisés prétendent que l'Islam est une religion et non pas économie, un dogme et non pas un programme de vie, une relation entre l'homme et son Seigneur et ne saurait constituer la base d'une révolution sociale en Iran. Mais il leur a échappé que l'Islam est une révolution dans laquelle la vie est indissociable de la foi, l'aspect social est inséparable du contenu spirituel. » […] l'Islam est capable de conduire et d'organiser la vie dans ses cadres toujours vivants, car son économie est représentée par un ensemble de statuts qui régissent la richesse. Ces statuts comprennent deux catégories d'éléments:
1. Les éléments constants, relatifs à la vie économique et qui sont mentionnés explicitement dans le Coran et la Sunna.
2. Les éléments flexibles et mobiles qui sont puisés - à la lumière de la nature de la phase de chaque conjoncture - dans les indications islamiques générales qui entrent dans le cadre des éléments constants.
