The narrations claiming that Imam Hasan (AS) or Imam Husain (AS) fought in wars under the leadership of others are not authentic at all. We don't have any narrations in our books in this regards. Some Sunni authors like Ibn Khaldoon claimed that but with out any authentic evidence or reliable source. Ibn Khuldoon himself lived in the eighth Hijra century and never witnessed nor heard from any authentic narrators.
All the life of Ahlul Bayt (AS) was great Jihad to protect Islam and Islam remained intact just because of the Jihad of Ahlul Bayt (AS).
If yoga was just a physical training or sport exercise, there was no reason in asking whether it is allowed for Muslim to practice it or not. As yoga has been taken by some Hindu groups and propagated as a Hindu practice, many Muslims from the subcontinent have doubts about it as they don't want to support Hindu propaganda.
I advise you to seek the opinion of respected scholars in your area whether yoga is taken by people there as just sport or people take it as part of Hindu religious practice?
If your community or your society looks at yoga as part of Hindu practice, then you as a Muslim should not support spreading their propaganda.
If your society looks at yoga as a sport like football or basketball or swimming which has no link with Hindu or any non Muslim faith, then it will be allowed for you to practice it.
Wassalam.
It is highly recommended to help any living being in need even animals. Helping non Muslims who are in need is very good keeping in mind the right of our own needy brothers and sisters in faith and our responsibility towards them. We should not neglect helping our own brothers and sisters in need before helping others as it said ( Charity starts at home).
We also need to avoid helping those non Muslims who use the money not in food or medicine of cloth but in alcohol or drugs etc.
Yes, Muslims are allowed to practice yoga exercise, as long as it does not harm the body or lead to un-Islamic practices or belief. As you know, yoga in its origin is a Hindu spiritual practice, and the word means "to unite" with God.
Simple yoga stretches are very useful, and the meditation aspect is good as well, but there is also the yoga culture that could be attached to it that a believer must stay away from, like un-Islamic chants, or that yoga alone gives one serenity and inner-peace.
The great blessing we have as Muslims is what our five daily prayer has for us, which many of us have still not yet discovered. We should also journey into our own Islamic heritage and culture and benefit from its wonders.
