Bismillāh

Thank you for your question. A Muslim can find much in their relationship with God and therefore, Muslims are encouraged to live an ever more God-centric life. Every person is honored in front of God and as we build our relationship with Him, the thoughts of people become less relevant as long as we have done right by God. In short, judging your own self worth doesn’t have to be through the criteria which others around you set, but can be based on the Qur’anic injunction that: Surely the most honorable in front of Allah is the most God-conscious (49:13).

It is also important to remain positive and to have a good opinion of God. When you think that God will always do the best for you, yes you as an individual because of the love He has for each of His creatures you will be able to remain positive in the harshest of situations.

Finally, keep a distance from friends that make you feel down, and hang out with people who don’t make you feel inferior, but encourage you to find your inner strength in your relationship with the Almighty.

May you always be successful.
