Our books mentioned that Imam Muhammad Al-Taqi Al-Jawad got married to Ummul Fadhl, daughter of the Caliph al-Ma'moon (al-Abbasi) on request of her father, who did not have any issue from the Imam (AS) and was a very disobedient wife and was the cause of his martyrdom by poison. Imam Al-Jawad Al-Taqi (AS) had a very pious wife who is known as Sumanah al-Maghribiyyah who gave birth to his son Imam Ali Al-Naqi Al-Hadi (AS). In some books there is a narration that he had a wife from the great grand daughters of Ammar Ibn Yasir.
