Assalamu aleykum,
First of all, I commend you for being willing to follow the traditions and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (S) and the Ahlul Bayt (as) in regards to marriage.
In many narrations it is reported that marriage is half of religion, and it is also recommended to marry at young age.
However you need to keep in mind that you have duties of obedience towards your parents, and it won’t be possible for you to marry if you don’t have the consent of your wali, guardian, your father. But besides the rules, rest assured that your parents have only your best interest in mind and they worry about you and your future, even if now you may think that they want to forbid you one of your rights or that they are treating you like a child. Believe me, they are only trying to protect you and they don’t want you to rush into such an important decision that will affect all your future life.
So my recommendations are the following:
- try to discuss with your parents, in a very calm manner why you want to marry, what is your point of view;
- show them that you are mature, read and watch videos about marriage in Islam and its rules, responsibilities, that will both show them that you are serious and will inform you about it,
- contact a local scholar and or a respected person for your family, explain why you want to marry and see if this person or people can help you make your parents understand your reasons,
- if you have already a person in mind, talk about this person, have your parents meet him and get to know him.
