Last night and this morning I was hesitating to perform a Qada fast. When I woke up, I decided to fast. I wasn't fully awake and then I remembered that I am sick and need to take my pills, and so proceeded to break my fast. Is there any action due on me?

No action is due on you.
Qadha fast can be broken deliberately any time before Zawaal (Midday or Dhuhr time)..
If Dhuhr time comes then it will be Haraam to break a Qadha fast.
