if a person is openly a sinner, unjust or oppress other people, he is considered a wrongdoer (zalim).

If a person consciously, willingly and openly fights the truth, while knowing that it is the truth, it is disbelief (kufr) or apostasy (irtidad).

If a person reveals what a Muslim person hide from his sins, it is called backbiting (ghibah).

So the basic difference is that declaration of zulm, kufr and apostasy are related to open attitudes and behaviors while backbiting is related to something that a Muslim person wish to conceal about himself.

As far as the Khawarij, their enmity against Ali, peace be upon him, has been seen as an aversion for the truth even if it is not improbable that among their ranks were also unaware people misled by their leaders.

With prayers for your success.

Income taxes and other similar taxes are not counted as zakat. Zakat is a religious duty and an act of worship that is paid with a specific intention and whose revenues are to be given to the recipients specified in verse 60 of sura al-Tawbah.

the time of Maghrib prayer starts at sunset. There is a disagreement among Shia scholars on when sunset starts. There are three major opinions in this regard:

1) Maghrib time start when the redness of the eastern sky disappears which is usually about 10-15 minutes after Sunni Maghrib time.

2) Maghrib time start at the disappearance of the sun in the western sky which is the same as Sunni Maghrib time.

3) Maghrib time starts at the disappearance of the sun in the western sky but as precaution we should wait until the redness in the eastern sky is disappeared.

The ahadith in support of the second opinion are accepted by all Islamic schools and are stronger in term of authenticity and numbers of isnads. However we find also ahadith stating the beginning of Maghrib time at the time of the disappearance of the redness in the eastern sky and that is why many scholars gave preference to that, at least as precautionary measure.

With prayers for your success.

learning Arabic language to truly understand your faith is praiseworthy and highly recommended. You can check the available courses in your area or even online in this regard. However to better reach your aim you should try to give preference to "Classical Arabic" or "Qur'anic Arabic" courses rather than "Modern Standard Arabic".

With prayers for your success.

a better translation for "nafs" (which is often translated as "soul") is "self" which is in fact your true self, what control your body and the real addressee of Allah's Speech. Your self can command to evil: "Surely the self is prone to enjoy evil" (12:53). It can reproach himself: "No! I swear by the self-reproaching self!" (75:2). It can also be at peace and his Lord will call him by saying: "O you self at peace! Come back to your Lord well-pleasing and well-pleased..." (89:27-28).

there is no precedence of such practice in the sirah of the Prophet and the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them. It is also reported on the authority of Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him: "Do not predict future events by the Qur'an" (al-Kafi, vol. 2, p.629).

interest has been defined as "money paid at a particular rate for the use of money lent". It is one type of usury (riba) and it should be avoided.

Another type of usury/riba is an "exchange of the same good by unequal quantities or qualities" that some may still define as a form of interest but technically and according to common view has not been considered as such.

With prayers for your success.

intentions should be followed by actions. If actions do not follow intentions on a regular basis, it may indicate that the intentions have been not formulated fairly. In fact intentions are the cause and deeds are the effect. A famous prophetic hadith says: "Truly the deeds are only according to the intention and to every man is that which he has intended". It is the intention that defines the action; working on the intention therefore should bring a better and/or more refined action insh'Allah.

You may also make a list of priorities and put the salat in the masjid at the top of your list, then keep vigil and focus on what is most important with Allah's assistance.

With prayers for your success.

there is no situation in which not to combine prayers should be considered a worst option except when it brings unbearable hardship like during illness or travel (wherein combing prayers can be considered a better option).

In a letter to the governors of various places, Imam Ali, peace be on him, advised his subordinates to establish prayer in five different times of the day:

"Now say the zuhr (noon) prayers when the shade of the wall of the goats' pen is equal to the wall. Say the asr (afternoon) prayers with them when the sun is still shining in a portion of the day enough for covering the distance of two farsakhs (about six miles). Say the maghrib (sunset) prayers when he who is fasting ends the fast and the pilgrim rushes (from Arafat) to Mina. Say the `isha' (night) prayers with them when twilight disappears amd up to one third of the night. Say the (early) morning prayers when a man can recognize the face of his companion" (Nahj al-Balaghah, letter 52).

Therefore there is no problem to prefer to pray in five different times a day in normal circumstances at any time.

With prayers for your success.
