Surat al-Baqara

Al-Baqarah (Arabic: البقرة‎, "The Heifer" or "The Cow") is the second and longest chapter (sūrah) of the Quran. It consists of 286 verses (āyāt), 6,201 words and 25,500 letters.It is a Medinan surah, that is to say that it was supposedly revealed at Medina after the Hijrah, with the exception the verses with regard to riba (interest or usury) which Muslims believe were revealed during the Farewell Pilgrimage, the last Hajj of Muhammad. in particular, Verse 281 in this chapter is believed to be the last verse of the Quran to be revealed, on the 10th of Dhul al Hijjah 10 A.H., when Muhammad was in the course of performing his last Hajj, and only 80 or 90 days later he died.Surah al-Baqarah (Quran 2) enjoins fasting on the believer during the month of Ramadan.

Sabeans الصابئة are also called Mandaeans. They have baptism as one of their religious ceremonies. They have a book called Ginza Rabba. They say that they believe in Adam, Seth, Noah, Shem and John as their final prophet.

'The Mandaean Sabaens are considered from Ahlul-Kitab according to many of our scholars.

Hurrani Sadeans worship stars that is why they not from Ahlul Kitab.

There is a similarity and difference between the prophets/messengers. The similarity is that they are all equal in being appointed as divine messengers and authorities. The difference is with respect to the nature of their position with Allah, and their own circumstances.

So, these two verses reflect those two things.

2:136 is a statement of belief for us to profess. That is, WE must accept all the prophets/messengers as being equal in their validity. We must accept them all as having correct messages from Allah that are consistent with the messages of the other prophets. We are not allowed to accept some and reject others. This verse is in the context of criticizing the Jews and Christians for accepting some and rejecting others.

However, this does not mean that all the prophets and messengers were identical, as indicated in 2:253 and elsewhere. The prophets and messengers each had their unique circumstances and positions with Allah. For instance, Jesus was born in a unique way, Solomon had a unique kingdom, and the Prophet Muhammad (S) is considered to be the highest of the messengers.

What is the explanation of Ayat 62 in Surah Baqarah?

It means that all believers in the messages from Allah which were sent to people through prophets, who believed in Allah and the Hereafter and did good deeds, they will get their reward from their Lord and will have no fear in them nor will they grieve.

This means whose believers of the previous prophets during the time of those messages. No believer in any previous prophet can deny the prophet hood of the Last Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) because denying this final prophet means not believing in the previous messages of the prophets.

Allah (SWT) has ordered us to take the meanings of Quran from the Prophet (SAWA) as he is responsible to explain to the people what was been revealed to guide them ( 16:44).

The Prophet himself has clearly stated that the purified persons meant in Quran 33:33 are Ahlul Bayt who are Ali, Fatimah, Hasan and Husain (AS). (Saheeh Muslim, Hadeeth 4450, Tirmithi; Hadeeth 3129 and 3719).
'The Prophet (SAWA) did not allow any of his wives to join the purified who are Ahlul Bayt only. (Tirmithi: Hadeeth 3806)

How is the undoubted faith considered a characteristic of success in the perspective of Surah al-Baqarah?

Allah (SWT ) says in Surah Al Baqarah Verse 3 about the pious
believers that they are those: Who believe in the Ghaib (the unseen) , And establish prayers and spend out of what we have provided for them”.

The faith of the believer does not contain doubts because doubts
vanish where faith exists.

There is no real success in life without true faith, and true faith can never exist with doubt.
