Bismillah,

Asalamu Alaykom,

What you heard is completely false. The Prophet Mohammad (sawa) is the greatest of all creation and if anyone puts someone above his status, they are out of Islam. Such a belief would also contradict the ahadith of the shia which clearly state not to put anyone above Rasullah (sawa)

May Allah swt grant you success

Islam is not a fashion show. Many Muslims today focus on things that are not important, and judge and criticize people for minor things while the world is burning.

Our big problems are dictatorship, economic inequity, racism, classism, consumerism, materialism, shirk through worshipping the ego or false ideologies, poverty, warfare, social breakdown, and environmental degradation. What color clothing people are wearing is not the big problem. It is allowed to wear black clothing or white clothing or any other color clothing, and it is wrong to prohibit the things that Allah has allowed. There are enough haraam things.

Their criticism is based on a sense of dislike of the other (a sort of tribalism - those people are different from us and do things different from us, so they must be wrong), and if they don't criticize this, they will find something else to criticize. This attitude is one of the defects that some human beings have - people often fear or dislike people who are different than themselves and who seem "foreign". It is one of the things that Islam should ideally remove from people, but sometimes there is still progress to be made.

Besides, in places like Saudi Arabia, it is normal for women to wear black outside, and women are half the population, so it is really a strange criticism.

And, many people say that green was the Prophet's (S) favorite color. This is somewhat beside the point, but just putting it out there.

Also there is no requirement in Shi'ism to wear black, it is simply a custom that has developed in many places during certain time periods. But Shi'is are religiously allowed to wear any color they want.

Dates of birth are taken from narrations. Even there are different dates of the birth in Sunni books. Some Sunni scholars like  ibn abdul Barr and al-Waaqidi . Al-Seira Al-Nabawiyyah by ibn Katheer said the Prophet was born on second of Rabaul Awwal ( not on the 12th)Ibn Abdul Barr in his book Al-Estee'aab. This has been mentioned in al-aseerah al-Nabawiyyah by ibn Katheer, v.1, p.199.

Some Sunni scholars said the Prophet was born on the eighth of Rabi,ul Awwal like Ibn Hazm and al-Zohri and al-Khawarizmi.

Other Sunni scholars said it was on the tenth of Rabi'ul Awwal like Ibn Dihyah and ibn Asaakir and al-Shi'bi.

Sime Sunni scholars narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) was born in month of Ramadan or month of Safar. So,bayou see many different Sunni narrations in this matter.

We,v the followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS) have taken the most authentic narrations from Ahlul Bayt (AS) which is 17 Rabi'ul Awwal.

The claimed participation of Imam Hasan and Imam Husain in any war of expansion is not authentic and does not have a trusted chain of narrators and it was never narrated in any authentic Shia reference among all of the narrations of the life of imam Hasan and Imam Husain (AS). It was mentioned in two Sunni books ( Tareekh Al-Tabari and Al-Ibrar by ibn Khaldoon who died in 808 Hijri, with out authentic chain of narrators. That is why, we can not trust such claim. We also know that the infallible can never be under leadership of a sinner.
Expansionistic wars were motivated by rulers who wanted more wealth and more control under the slogan of Islam with out permission from the real leader of Islam after the Prophet who is Imam Ali (AS).

Although belief in tahrif of the Qur'an is non-standard, it is better to reserve the word kufr for the things that Allah directly uses it for.

The Qur'an does not directly say that belief in tahrif is kufr. (Rather, some people assert this based on a deduction/interpretation of a verse, not a direct statement.)

The word kufr tends to be thrown around quite casually these days. There is rarely any benefit to accusing people of kufr or labelling Muslims as kafir just because one thinks they are incorrect in their belief. It is quite sad that this intolerance has developed today. The classical Islamic era seems to have been much more tolerant and open to discussing differences of opinion regarding theology. This is not to say that every view was always right, but it is better to be able to discuss things rationally rather than to shut down dissenting views by just labelling and attacking (verbally or sometimes physically).

Many Sunni books narrated authentic Hadeeths from the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) that Ali is the deputy and the successor of the Prophet (SAWA) e.g.

1. Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal in Musnad Al-Asharah, Hadeeth 841: The Prophet said: Ali is  my Khaleefa.

2. Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal, fadha'il al-Sahaba, Hadeeth number 1016: Ali is my Wasi .

3. Musnad Ahmed ibn Hanbal: It written on the gate of Paradise: LA ILAAHA ILLALLAH, MUHAMMAD RASOOLULLLAH, ALI AKHO RASOOLILLAH.

4. Al-Bukhari in his book Al-Tareekh Al-Kabeer vol. 1, p.375 that the Prophet (SAWA) said on the day of Ghadeer: For whom I am the master, Ali is his master.

5. Al-Albani in his book Takhreej Al-Hadeeth Al-Nabawi , Hadeeth number 94 that the Prophet said: Ali is the master of every of everyone who believes in me as his master.

They have in some of their books fabricated narrations created by the enemies of the Prophet. Ahlul Bayt (AS) refuted those false narrations and proved according Quran that the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) has the maximum knowledge in everything.

Allah (SWT) sent him to teach people the knowledge of the Book and Wisdom. How can he be illiterate??

This narration is not authentic and some Sunni Ulama like Mohammad Al-Jondi of Al-Azhar in Egypt said that it is not a Hadeeth at all.

Shia view on every person is always based on his obedience or disobedience to Allah and The Messenger (SAWA). Khalid bin Al-Waleed spent most of his life fighting against Islam and the Prophet (SAWA) since he was in Makkah till he surrendered to Muslims. Khalid bin Al-Waleed fought against Islam in the battle of Badr and was captured by Muslims ( according to the famous Sunni historian Al-Waaqidi). He fought against Islam in the battle of Uhud and caused a disaster for Muslims. Even after he was forced to surrender to Muslims, he committed crimes which made the Prophet openly dis-associate himself from the acts of Khalid. (Saheeh Al-Bukhari; 7189).

Khalid ibn Al-Waleed was sent by his friend Abu Bakr to fight against Malik bin Nowairah who was a pious companion appointed by the Prophet to collect the Islamic dues from his tribe Bani Tamim. Khalid despite knowing that Malik bin Nowairah was a Muslim,he killed him and took and slept with his wife on the same night which is a crime against basic rules of Islam. Omar ibn Al-Khattab called Khalid: O enemy of Allah, you killed a Muslim man then slept with his wife. I will stone you. (Tareekh Al-Tabari 2:504 and Al-Kaamil by Ibn Al-Atheer 2:359).

Khalid ibn Al-Waleed is been praised by some Muslim groups for political reasons because of his enmity against Ali ibn Abi Talib. He was one of the persons who attacked the house of Fatima and Ali and he was involved in a plan to kill Ali which could not succeed.(Kitab Al-Sunnah by al-Khallaal 3:505 and Tareekh Dimishq by Ibn Asaakir , V.41, P.46 and Al-Ansaari by al-Sam'ani 3:95).

Following Ahlul Bayt is in fact following the real teachings of the Prophet (SAWA). None of the four Sunni sects (Hanafi, Shafi'ee, Maaliki and Hanbali) were existing during the time of the Prophet, while Ahlul Bayt were living with the Prophet and practicing his teachings.

Details of the rules and worship can be easily found in many websites e.g. www.Sistani.org and www.Al-Islam.org and www.shiasearch.org

The Prophet (SAWA) and his Holy Progeny Ahlul Bayt (AS) emphasized more on the 23rd night of the month of Ramadan. It is narrated that a Muslim from the tribe of Johaina (Johani) living far away from Madina came to the Prophet asking him: When shall I come to your Masjid in Madina for Laylatul Qadr as I live far away and can not come more than one night? The Prophet replied him as narrated: Come on the 23rd night of the Month of Ramadan. That is why, the 23rd night is called the big night of Qadr and also the night of Al-Johani.
