A parent is a caregiver of the offspring in their own species. In humans, a parent is the caretaker of a child (where "child" refers to offspring, not necessarily age). A biological parent is a person whose gamete resulted in a child, a male through the sperm, and a female through the ovum.

Recommended fast can be broken any time. It is recommended to eat or drink if a Mo'min invite you while your fasting a recommended fast with out telling him that you are fasting.

No need for permission of parents in recommended fast nor in other recommended worship.

My parents are Muslim but they don't pray. Is it permissible for me to ask Allah (swt) to forgive my parents, and to guide and grant them Jannah? And can I keep praying for a Muslim even after his death?

Yes it is very good to pray for the guidance and forgiveness of your parents.

It is also allowed to pray for deceased Muslim for forgiveness and mercy from Allah (SWT).

What should one do if their parents force them to skip their fast for exams?

It is obligatory to fast the whole days of the month of Ramadan if you are not ill nor traveling. You must obey Allah and never disobey Him to please any one else even your parents. You can not commit a sinful act to please any one.

I am 13 and I promised to Allah that I will fast for 20 days in the month of Ramadan but my parents are not allowing me as they think I am too thin. What should I do?

If you are Baaligh, you must then fast the whole month of Ramadan and not only twenty days. Your parents have no right to stop you from obligatory fast.

If you are still not Baaligh, then you should listen to your parents.

One of my paternal aunts had died before her parents. Does she have the right to share in the parents' property or not, as the parents themselves had never announced a share for their deceased daughter or her children?

No share for the deceased son or daughter nor to their children after them as far as they died before their parents. When a person dies leaving his own children, and grandchildren, direct children only have the right to inherit from him as far as they were alive when the parent died. Those who died before their parents have no right in inheritance unless all the children have dies before their parents, then their children will inherit from their grand parents because no direct son or daughter are alive.

As a 30 year old can I make my own life decisions without my parents' involvement because if I ask them they may not allow. Am I disobeying them by not telling them?

Your life is your life and you have the right to decide it, but you must always respect your parents and never do anything which makes them feel disrespected. Virgin girl needs in her marriage a permission from her father or paternal grand father. Man does need permission from any one in his marriage, but he must avoid neglecting or disrespecting his parents.

Is it fine for a child to refrain from praying for parents who are Munafiq or Fasiq, or for parents who have been very stressful during their lifetime due to being toxic, troublesome, and unjust?

The right of the parents remains great on their children no matter how their children were treated by them. Children must be nice to their parents even if the children think that their parents were bad parents. Children must always be grateful and good to their parents and pray for them. Allah (SWT) orders us in Quran to nicely treat nin believer parents even if they try to make you a polytheist وإن جاهداك لِتُشرِكَ بي ما ليسَ لكَ بهِ علمٌ فلا تُطِعهُما وصاحِبهُما في الدنيا مَعروفاً (If your parents strive to make you a polytheist without knowledge from you, then don't obey them, but treat them in this life nicely.) Sura 31, Verse 15.

How can we pray for our parents, who are in heavenly abode, for their benefit?

Best things which help your deceased beloved ones is to fulfil their missed worship like Salah, fasting, Khums, Hajj, and other debts. After fulfilling the obligatory debts, giving Sadaqa gives them great benefit as the Hadeeth says: Have mercy on your deceased one by giving Sadaqa (on their behalf). This includes Majlis or Ziyarat or feeding.

Reciting Quran, Du'a, Estighfaar, Salawaat and any Thikr of Allah, on behalf of the deceased helps them.

Although you are your own person, and you think independently, and might even be wise in your judgments, but this still does not allow you to disobey or defy your parents. It is always important to align your lifestyles and decisions along with what your parents would be happy with. If for some reason they dislike or refuse, negotiation is always better than showing insolence.

Should we interrupt prayer if our parents call us?

If their situation was critical and they call you for an urgent help, then it will be allowed for you to interrupt prayer to help them.

If they don't have an urgent need for help, you can raise your voice to make them know that you are in prayers (e.g. saying Allahu Akbar or SubhanaAllah) and try to complete your prayer quickly then reply them.

Is it acceptable in Islamic law for parents to monitor their children's browsing history without their permission?

Parents are responsible to look after their children and protect them from harmful or dangerous websites and bad company. They must do whatever they can to protect their children and never leave them exposed to any harm or danger. That does not mean to insult or degrade their children but just to look after them and protect them. If they come to know about any mistake from any of their children, they must keep his respect and avoid insulting him.
