Wife

A wife is a female partner in a continuing marital relationship.
The term continues to be applied to a woman who has separated from her partner, and ceases to be applied to such a woman only when her marriage has come to an end, following a legally recognized divorce or the death of her spouse. On the death of her partner, a wife is referred to as a widow, but not after she is divorced from her partner.

We can not confirm nor totally deny this matter during the Ghaibah of the Imam (AS) as it is part of the personal life of Imam Al- Mahdi (AS) which is kept by Allah as secret and away from the public knowledge.

Some narrations mentioned his marriage and children but our leading scholars did not find such narrations authentic enough to establish a confirmed fact. Many leading scholars openly refused such narrations like Shaikh Al-Mufeed and Shaikh Al-Toosi and Shaikh Al-Bayadhi.

We have narrations refuting the claim of his marriage, such narrations are  mentioned in many books like Ethbaat al-Wasiyyah by al-Mas'oodi, page 201, and Al-Ghaibah by Shaikh Al-Toosi, page 134, and Dala'il al-Imamah by Al-Tabari, page 130, and Al-Irshad by Shaikh Al-Mufeed, page 366 (Arabic edition).

We may advise Mo'mineen to leave this personal matter of the life of the Imam Al-Mahdi (AS) to the Imam (AS) himself when he will come back to the public life.

He needs to repent and decide not to commit such crime again and seek forgiveness from Allah (SWT) but he does not need to divorce his wife.

Committing such major sin is strongly forbidden and condemned and the knowledge or no knowledge of his wife does not change the rule.

Allah The Glorious knows all our deeds and we need to seek Forgiveness from Him.

You do not need to mention your previous sins to any one except Allah, simply, because no one can forgive your sins but Allah (SWT).

In many cases, mentioning your previous sins can hurt the feeling of your spouse or displease them. Disclosing your previous sins can be harmful as it is possible that it can leak to others including your children when your spouse is unhappy with you. That is why, you should keep your sins between you and your Creator and seek His forgiveness.

Just repeat Estighfaar as many times as you can and seek from Allah (SWT) to forgive your sins and protect you and your family from every harm ijn this life and hereafter.

Islamic rules have punishment on certain major sins, but that punishments can only be implemented by the Prophet , Infallible Imam or his deputy.

Divorced wife is no ore a wife after passing the Iddah (Waiting period). Same for the husband who divorced his wife, he is no more a husband for her.

In Paradise, Allah (SWT) grants the best to the believers. The best husband will be given to the believing woman and the best wife will be given for the man. Allah (SWT) will remove all negative things from the believers in Paradise.

You are allowed to get married for more or less any reason you want. People (both men and women) decide to get married for all sorts of reasons.

However, it is good for him to think deeply about whether or not he *should* do it since it will affect other people around him.

In principle, it is allowed for husband to hold his wife's hand in public if there is no bad effect from such act on others who see him and his wife, or on the respect of the man or his wife in the eyes of society.

Masturbation using your hands or any part of your body is a sinful act, but if your wife uses her hands or any part of her body to masturbate you, it will be allowed for you and her. This can be done by wife to her husband as well as by husband to his wife when they are together.

It is not allowed for a Muslim to hit any one including his wife or children. Some people misunderstand a Quranic verse in this regard which in fact does not mean real hitting but not more than a nominal act to correct. If a person hit his wife and her skin becomes reddish, he must pay her a penalty, beside his sinful act which needs seeking her pardon and forgiveness from Allah (SWT).

it is not difficult for all men to convince their wives to have another wife and it is not difficult for all wives to accept an husband with more than one wife. Also, it is not necessary for all men to have more than one wife and in many cases it may be detrimental for them. People differs and sometimes there are situations that call for specific choices. For example the Qur'an says: "And if you fear that you will not be able to to justice to the orphan girls, then marry of women as may be agreeable to you two or three or four, but if you fear that you will not be able to deal equitably then one" (4:3).

With prayers for your success.

Thank you for your question. Islam has stressed the equality of men and women when it comes to their relationship with God. Their actions and attitudes are their own and they will be recompensed with justice and mercy. When it comes to some of the rulings on a sociological level, while they may not be the same for a man and woman, that doesn't affect their equality in front of God and certainly doesn't indicate inferiority as the Qur'an has clearly defined the benchmark of superiority being that of God-consciousness. There is also no ownership as the woman is a free woman and is responsible in front of God. It is her choice to follow these rules in her obedience to God, and for that she achieves the spiritual progression which is the benchmark of excellence.

At the same time, there is much discussion on the rulings related to women and the paradigms that have been used throughout our intellectual history to determine the rulings in different epochs. While that discussion has not resulted in a change of view of many scholars in regards to the specific ruling in your question, research is continually being made to apply our understanding of Islamic law in each time and the concern that you have raised is one that is taken seriously in intellectual circles, bearing in mind the changing roles of women in the modern world.

May you always be successful
