Glycerol (; also called glycerine in British English or glycerin in American English) is a simple polyol compound. It is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid that is sweet-tasting and non-toxic. The glycerol backbone is found in lipids known as glycerides.

It is permissible to use any type of hand wash or ointment etc even if it contains Najis item, provided that you wash your hands before performing Wudhu and Namaz in case you are definitely sure that it does contain Najis material. If you are not sure that it contains Najis material, then you can take it as Taahir.
