Teenage Pregnancy

Teenage pregnancy, also known as adolescent pregnancy, is pregnancy in a female under the age of 20. Pregnancy can occur with sexual intercourse after the start of ovulation, which can be before the first menstrual period (menarche) but usually occurs after the onset of periods. In well-nourished females, the first period usually takes place around the age of 12 or 13. Pregnant teenagers face many of the same pregnancy related issues as other women.

Bismihi ta'ala

Islam encourages marriage and commitment in relationships, and Islam is clearly against meaningless frolicking, leading to unwanted pregnancies, or extra-marital affairs.

The best way to prevent these things is to encourage the value of family, loyalty, commitment and marriage, in the traditional and religious sense.

Islam believes that early marriage is also very positive, and so once people come of age, they should be encouraged to get married, settle down, and have children.

With prayers for your success.
