Thank you for your question. There is no problem in praying once you are certain of the time even if others have not begun the recommended actions before prayer like azan.

Thank you for your question. As long as you pray within the time (i.e. before the time for the prayer passes entirely) there is no problem if you don't pray at the recommended time. If it happens that you miss the time completely you must make up that prayer outside of its time.

Thank you for your question. At the moment, Shii law does not consider mental health as an issue that would annul a marriage contract. However, considering the fact that marriage in the modern world is a major decision for both parties it would be wise to not hide such issues as they will inevitably come up during the course of a persons marriage at which stage your partner may feel hard done by. Especially if it is something you are not entirely over. With these situations it is helpful to put yourself in the other party's shoes and treat others as you would like to be treated yourself.

Thank you for your question. Evolution of the human race and other species doesn't contradict our belief in Prophet Adam (as), as it is a development of the physical body according to factors in nature. However, if by evolution you mean evolution across species like from a monkey to human, such a transition is not established, even if it has been theoretically purported and as such doesn't present a challenge to the traditional understanding of Adam being endowed with a human body, as it remains on the level of theory without complete evidence.

Thank you for your question. The impurity that transfers from a dog needs to be purified from your clothes and place of prayer before you pray. The presence of a dog in itself is not a problem from a jurisprudential perspective. Perhaps you can confine it in an area in your house which you can purify afterwards if there are any places that you are sure impurities have transferred.

Thank you for your question. Violence is not tantamount to sin in Islam and so the slaughtering of animals, fishing, eating lawful eggs, the picking of not fully ripened fruits and the uprooting of vegetables for the sake of sustenance is not considered sinful.

Thank you for your question. Masturbation is a very difficult habit to kick and it is only with a lot of effort, difficulty and time that a person will be able to fully rid themselves of it. As such do not despair in a number of ways failing. You just have to keep trying those ways and different ways and keep praying to succeed. There are many others in a similar position to you and yet others who have been successful. So it is possible to stop. The best solution is marriage, however, marriage may not be a solution entirely. It will primarily be an act of will power in the end, so don't leave it until marriage.

May you be successful and don't give up

Thank you for your question. For many issues of fate and free will, it is useful to see the circumstances as fate and the choices we make as being of our own volition. That is that we cannot control the time we are born in, the circumstances we are brought up in, the country we live in, and so on, and as such the person we marry will be connected to these circumstances in some way and we cannot control that. On the other hand, the choice of who we marry is our own, even if God has pre-eternal knowledge of that choice, and has put us in the best situation. It is important for us to truly make choices for ourselves as that is what meaningful free will is.

As for the verses speaking about the humans being created in pairs, this is to do with the human race as a whole (i.e there being males and females) rather than as soul mates. As you are aware Islam allows for polygyny as well as multiple temporary and permanent marriages depending on which marriages work out and for what purpose they are contracted. The concept of soul mates is somewhat alien to the Islamic perspective on marriage as far as I am aware.

May you always be successful
