Unfortunately, this is among the very negative practices we have in our societies, and it definitely is dhulm to some women. We must strengthen our marriages, especially the culture of correct spouse selection, but also increasing our level of tolerance, to avoid divorce.

We must also try to educate people that there is nothing wrong with marrying a divorcee. They might have gone through a bad experience, or made wrong choices, or matured from their previous relationship.

In all, a lot needs to be done to improve our state, to adopt Islamic teachings in its best form.

The condition and requirement of converting to Islam is to testify that there is one God, the Almighty God, and Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) is the Messenger of God.

This is the shahadah, or shahadatayn, or what some refer to as the "kalimah".

As for testifying to the Wilayah of Imam Ali (a.s.), this is not an essential componant of converting to Islam. Once one is a Muslim, they will choose the type of Islam they will be affiliated to. Of course, our belief is the only true Islam is the Islam represented in the Progeny of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.), the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) - the Twelve Imams (a.s.).

Such practices are not a part of our Islamic culture, and we should preserve our Islamic ways as far as the method of courtship, interaction with opposite gender, and pursuing of marriage.

Getting to know each other, for purpose of marriage, is fine, as long as it is within the shar'i boundaries of Islam, with family approval, pure intentions and good moral conduct.

If you are doing qadha' for shahr Ramadhan fasting, you are allowed to terminate your fasting and break-off from it, anytime in the morning, until zawal, or salat dhuhr time.

You are not allowed to break your qadha' fasting anytime after dhuhr. If you do, there is a kaffarah.

This is different to Mustahab fast, where you can break your mustahab fast anytime, before dhuhr, or after dhuhr.

Secretly collecting information from someone could be done for various meanings, so we cannot say it is absolutely haram, or falls under spying. If it is the wife, who suspects her husband is engaging in extramarital relationships, then this is something that needs to be addressed, not just by "confirming" if suspicions are real.

I have discussed this in the following clip:

You must free her for the remaining period, then do the permanent Nikah. You say to her "I free you for the remaining period," then she becomes non mahram, and then you can do the Nikah. She does not need to observe 'iddah period as well, because she was with the same person, yourself.
