Ibrahim ibn Malik Al-Ashraf was a pious and sincere follower of Ahlul Bayt (AS) like his father Malik Al-Ashtar who was for Ameerul Mo’mineen like Ameerul Mo;minuend was for the Prophet (SAWA).
Ibrahim ibn Malik Al-Ashtar had two choices after the martyrdom of Al-Mukhtar; either to join Bani Umayyah forces or to join Mus’ab ibn Al-Zubair forces. He did not want to join Bani Umayyah at any cost and under any circumstances. Mus’ab ibn Al-Zubair was less evil than Bani Umayyah and he was fighting against them.
