There are many Hadeeths stating that Whoever memorizes Qur’an and acts upon it, Allah (SWT) will reward him and honor him greatly for that, so that he will rise in status in Paradise to a level commensurate with what he memorized of the Book of Allah.
The Hadeeth says : “It will be said in the Paradise to the person who recited Qur’an in his life: Recite and rise up in Paradise degrees according to what you recited.
Memorizing and acting upon Quran will cause the person getting the Shafa'ah of Quran.
Wassalam.
as salam alaikum
"The one who memorize the Qur'an, and act upon it, is with the pure and noble scribes" (Thawab al-A'mal by Shaykh Saduq).
The one who reads the Qur'an and preserves it, is with the pure and noble scribes" (Sahih al-Bukhari)
The "pure and noble scribes" are specific angels whose company will be granted for the one who has memorized the Qur'an and acted upon it.
The memorization of the Qur'an should be the first spiritual input in the believer's life and perhaps that is why in some areas of the Islamic world we see lot of emphasis on Qur'anic memorization put since childhood to the point that in some cases children of 4 years old become hafiz, masha'Allah.
The holy Prophet taught not only meanings and concepts from the Qur'an but also emphasized the role of the literal memorization of sacred terms and expressions. In doing so, he put emphasis on the primacy of divine word over human word. The teachings transmitted with a "human filter" are often not devoid of barriers that may hinder the full understanding of truth. In other words, it is Allah's word to take the the lead and not the human drive. To be able to live and act by the pulse of the Qur'anic verses in your heart is another very significant reward in this regard.
With prayers for your success.
