reading the Bible in itself is not a problem. The Muslim person should be aware that the books included in the modern-day Bible are translations of non-original sources and therefore its accuracy cannot be confirmed. The original books have been tampered while the modern versions contain both correct and incorrect information; it is therefore difficult to discern truth from falsehood for common people.

Bible can be compared to books of hadith with no chain of transmission. It is possible to compare its content with the Qur'an, mutawatir narrations and well-established traditions, and also to study it in the light of historical facts. Today it cannot be considered an heavenly book according to Islamic perspective.

With prayers for your success.

islamically, there is nothing wrong in accepting a gift. If you feel a "burden" from what is given to you, you can persuade your friend to give those money in charity elsewhere or you can yourself give them as charity.

However if you are in need of money for basic living to the point that it is a matter of survival for you and/or people depending on you, you should accept the gift and thank Allah for His mercy.

With prayers for your success.

Islam does not agree with the belief in reincarnation. Therefore if karma is used in that sense, it is refused according to Islamic perspective.

If the doctrine of karma is used to simply indicate the relation of cause and effect among some actions and reactions, or similar issues, it may have some similarities with an Islamic point of view but we should consider also that it may not apply to all cases. For example Allah may increase His blessings to a person at His will: "...bestowed from your Lord by way of gift by reckoning" (78:36).

a sound way for the believer to keep his faith is by being strict with his personal religious duties, lenient and generous with others, and by talking often with Allah. Then, when Allah speaks to him through the Qur'an, his faith will increase insh'Allah: "and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith" (8:2), "As for the believers, it [the revelation] does certainly increases their faith" (9:124).

yes, there are instances were pious women raised their voices to make their stand clear in front of their opponents like Fatimah al-Zahra and Zaynab bint 'Ali, peace be upon them.

Therefore when a woman's honor and sanctity is violated, boldness and confidence may become a merit. For example, this can happen if she is mocked on the road and she has enough confidence abour her safety and that her bold words would stop the assailant, or at least would give him a lesson or something to ponder about.

In relation to modesty, the Qur'an says: "O wives of the Prophet! You are like no other women, if you are God-wary, so be not soft in speech least he who carries a disease in his heart should feel tempted and you should speak decent words" (33:32). Here, Allah tells the wives of the Prophet not to soften their speech in presence of other men as they should keep a distance from them and be God-wary.

Obviously different cases call for different answers and wisdom should be applied according to the situation.

With prayers of your success.

there are many ahadith forbidding playing chess for the believers and that is why most of the scholars have forbidden it. Other scholars have deduced that the prohibition is related to gambling and not to all cases of playing chess. There are relatively lengthy discussions on the topic and opinions are different in this regard.

In such cases, precaution is the safest option and more in harmony with the apparent meaning of many ahadith. And Allah knows the best.

there are traditions in both Shi'i and Sunni books about straighten the lines during Jama'ah and do not leave gaps. However this does not mean that believers should strictly touch feet and shoulders one another.  Rather it means to keep close one another according to common understanding in a way that is not loose. Hanafi school holds the same view and their scholars have discussed how Sunni ahadith and literature should not be interpreted as implying the necessity of touching each other's feet and shoulders.

Salat differs from voluntary invocations and supplications. The intention during Salat is to pray for Allah only. However the recitation of Sura al-Fatihah is mandatory wherein it is said "Guide us to the Straight Path" (1:5) which in itself is a prayer for ourselves and others as well.

It is also possible to pray for others during the qunut.

With prayers for your success.

a wife should obey her husband provided that he would guide her towards the best and according to obedience to Allah. There is no obedience to any creature that implies disobedience to the Creator.

Man has been given a major role in certain aspects of life, naturally and religiously. On the other side, to the woman belongs a leading role in other issues, naturally and religiously. Other roles, may be performed by both. A religious family should aim at achieving happiness in this world and the Hereafter. Members should help each other and sacrifice themselves for the sake of Allah.

Generally speaking, consultation should always be taken in consideration if possible, keeping in mind that the main focus is to please Allah and not to hurt each other.

With prayers for your success.
