قال عبد الله: حدثنا العباس بن الفضل الاسقاطي، ثنا الحسين بن علي، ثنا عمران بن أبان، حدثني مالك بن الحسين بن مالك بن ‏الحويرث، حدثني أبي عن جدي قال: رقى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم المنبر فقال: من كنت مولاه فعلي مولاه.‏
