From `Abd al-Rahman b Abi Layla who said: `Ali gave a speech saying: "I adjure by Allah a person, with the adjuration of Islam, who has heard the Messenger of Allah, blessings and salutations of Allah on him, on the day of Ghadir Khumm take my hand and say: ‘Am I not more worthy of you, O Muslims, than yourselves? They said: Yes indeed, O Messenger of Allah. He said: Of whomsoever I am master, `Ali is his master. O Allah, befriend one who befriends him and be at enmity with one who is at enmity with him, and help one who helps him and forsake one who forsakes him’ – but that he should stand and bear witness."
Some ten people stood up and bore witness and the (other) people concealed (it).
They (ie those who concealed) did not go from this world before they became blind or contracted leprosy.
