ورواه أبومحمد أحمد بن محمد العاصمي في زين الفتى عن شيخه إبن الجلاب عن أبي أحمد الهمداني عن أبي عبدالله محمد الصفار عن أحمد بن ‏مهران عن علي بن قادم عن فطر عن أبي الطفيل: جمع علي رضي الله عنه الناس في الرحبة ثم قال لهم: انشد الله كل امرء مسلم سمع رسول ‏الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول يوم غدير خم ما سمع لما قام. فقام ثلاثون من الناس. فشهدوا حين أخذه بيده فقال للناس: أتعلمون أني أولى ‏بالمؤمنين من أنفسهم؟ قالوا: نعم يارسول الله. قال من كنت مولاه فهذا مولاه، أللهم وال من والاه، وعاد من عاداه. قال: فخرجت وكأن ‏في نفسي شيئا، فلقيت زيد بن أرقم فقلت له: إني سمعت عليا رضي الله عنه تعالى يقول كذا وكذا. قال: فما تنكر؟ قد سمعت رسول الله ‏صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول له ذلك.‏
