We heard ‘Ali saying in al-Kufa’s Ruhba: I adjure you by Allah to come forward if you had heard the Messenger of Allah saying, ‘To whoever I am his master, ‘Ali is a master’. A number of the Prophet’s Companions stood up and bore witness that they all heard the Messenger of Allah saying that.
