ورواه الشيخ أحمد بن الفضل بن محمد باكثير المكي الشافعي: عن عامر ابن ليلى بن ضمرة وحذيفة بن أسيد رضي الله عنهما قالا: لما ‏صدر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من حجة الوداع ولم يحج غيرها - أقبل حتى إذا كان بالجحفة . . أخرجه ابن عقدة في الموالاة . ‏ومن طريق ابن عقدة أورده أبوموسى في الصحابة وقال: إنه غريب، والحافظ أبوالفتوح العجلى في فضائل الصحابة.‏
