ألحافظ صالح بن محمد بن عمرو البغدادي الملقب ب‍ ( جزرة ) المتوفى 293 / 4 ، ترجمه الخطيب في تاريخه ج 9 ص 322 وقال : كان ‏حافظا عارفا من أئمة الحديث وممن يرجع اليه في علم الآثار ومعرفة نقلة الاخبار ، وكان صدوقا ثبتا أمينا وذكره الذهبي في تذكرته ج 2 ‏ص 215 ، وحكى عن الدارقطني انه قال : كان ثقة حافظا عارفا. ‏
