It says in some <adíths that he was a Companion of the Messenger of Allah [s]. He is related from and he is reliable. He was killed at the Battle of Marj Rahit in Dhu'l-Hijja 64 AH.

He was a jurist (faqíh). He was considered reliable by al-Dárqu>ní and other scholars.
