Numerology should not lead to claim knowing the unseen, nor put allegation on others, nor claiming tributes with out real evidence.

No, it is not required. We do not have any authentic evidence from the Prophet (SAWA) and Ahlul Bayt (AS) to suggest such requirement. It is recommended to name our newly born after the names of Ahlul Bayt and names recommended by them with out going through numerology or Ilmul A'dad. Some elders in the subcontinent think it required but it is just a cultural matter not a religious requirement.

Good fortune does not come from spelling of our names, but from piousness in our heart and noble deeds. There are many persons with very good names but very bad deeds and vice versa.
