The deputies of the 12th Imam ( AS) during this time being in the major occultation are the most learned pious scholars who are recognized as Maraaji' of Taqleed. This is the guidelines which came from the 12th Imam (AS) to all Muslims after the forth special deputy Ali Ibn Muhammad Al-Samari.

Wasa'il al-Shia, 27:131.

The Marja' of Taqleed is a general deputy of the Imam (AS) and not special deputy names by the Imam (AS) like the four deputies who were during the minor occultation. (1. Uthman Ibn Sa'eed 2. Muhammad Ibn Uthman 3. Husain Ibn Rooh 4. Ali Ibn Muhammad Al-Samari).

Thank you for your question. We have traditions explaining events before the appearance of Imam al-Mahdi (af) and surrounding the way in which he will reappear. These hadith which are prophecies will be one of the best indicators for knowing the Imam (af). Some people will be blessed with knowing him before his reappearance and those are his selected companions who will travel to Mecca and be present when he reveales his identity.

Aside from these there are a number of traits and qualities that an Imam must have and Imam al-Mahdi (af) will display those traits. He will also most likely  display proofs of his own as did the previous divine guides.

May you always be successful.

Thank you for your question. There was a group of people that were enemies of the Imams (as) in Kufa but generally speaking Kufa has been a stronghold of the Shia and that is why Imam Ali (as) chose it as his capital. There were Shia in Kufa that joined Imam Husayn (as) and others that were prevented through imprisonment. The hadith of Ahl al-Bayt (as) were also wide spread in Kufa during the lives of the later Imams and the Shii Kufan population was subject to oppression many times during the reigns of the various caliphs. So the premise for the question is not accurate as it is one sided.

May you always be successful.

Every community needs a perfect leadership to guide them to the right and avoid them from the wrong.

Allah The Glorious Has ordered people to follow the prophets then their successors. The last successor of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) is Imam Al-Mahdi (AS) who is at present under occultation by order of Allah (SWT) because of certain circumstances. Imam Al-Mahdi (AS) himself ordered the followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS) to follow during his occultation the most learned pious Ulama. (Wasaa'il al-Shia, Volume 27, Page 131.

Some persons misunderstand the meaning of Taqleed and ask about its validity . We invite them to think :

1. Is it possible for any Muslim to claim that Allah, The Most Glorious wants to leave the Ummah with out guide during the occultation of the Infallible Imam ?

2. Who is the best to guide the Ummah better than the most learned about the teachings of Ahlul Bayt (AS) with piousness?

3. Who can guide the Ummah to Islamic rules on new issues during the occultation better that the most learned and pious, who are the Maraaje' of Taqleed?

No community can remain protected from deviation if they do not follow a pious leadership and there is no leadership in the whole world more pious than our Maraaje' of Taqleed who have the maximum knowledge about Islam and highest level of piousness.

Imam Al-Mahdi (AS) will remove injustice and tyranny from the whole world. His time of re appearance will be filled with injustice and tyranny. That does not means by any mean that we have to add on injustice and wrong to hasten his re appearance, but on the contrary, we remain as sincere followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS) responsible to do and spread good deeds which is the aim of our Infallible Imams and all the prophets (AS).

The bad deeds are from bad people as Allah (SWT) says in Quran: Evil deeds has appeared on land and sea because of what people have committed. Al-Room: Verse 41.

We should always prevent and counter evil deeds by doing and spreading good deeds but our efforts will never be enough, and the injustice and tyranny will go on till the re appearance of The Divine Leader from Allah who will remove away the evil and establish the pan state of Good and Justice.

There is no dichotomy at all.

No. This claim is untrue.

All our scholars accepted every message from Imam Al-Mahdi ( AS) which came through authentic source like the four emissaries.

Thank you for your question. The Imam (af) cannot act to his full effectiveness without the support of the Ummah itself and so it is the Ummah that has chosen this situation for itself. In the same way, the Imams could not prevent the cruelty of the Ummayid and Abbasid dynasties or the injustice of some of the prior leaders as these are the leaders that the Ummah had chosen for themselves in rejecting the leadership of the Imams (as). The injustice in this time is a natural consequence of the physical absence of the Imam (af).

May you always be successful.

As Allah is always supporting the Truth against evil, Imam Al-Mahdi ( AS) being the best Servant of Allah in this time, is always acting against injustice and defending the Ummah against cruelty in ways best known to Allah ( SWT).

When we don’t know how Allah (SWT) is supporting the Truth against the evil in our time, we should not claim that Allah is not defending the Ummah against cruelty.

Same exactly is the situation with The Most Humble Servant of Allah, Imam Al-Mahdi, who is the Divine Leader appointed by Allah ( SWT).

Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS) is the 12th and last divine leader of the 12
divine Imams (AS) about whom the Holy Prophet (SAWA) informed that: My
successors will be the 12 Imams (AS) and all of them will be from
Quraish. In another Hadeeth, the Holy Prophet (SAWA) mentions that the
1st of them will be Ali (AS) and the last of them will be Imam
al-Mahdi (ATFS)

Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS) has been mentioned in hundreds of authentic
Hadeeths from the Holy Prophet (SAWA) narrated in both the Shia as well
as Sunni books. All Muslims believe that the authentic Hadeeths are
informing about the very important fact related to the future of the
world.  Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS) is the promised saviour who will
establish the world wide state of justice and peace.

Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS) was born in Samarra in Iraq on 15th Sha’ban in
the year 255 Hijri under the tremendously dangerous political pressure
from the tyrannical Abbasid ruler who were expecting his birth and trying to
kill him. That is why he had to have 2 occultation – the minor one
which lasted about 70 years during which he used to communicate with
the Ummah via appointed persons called Safeers. He had Safeers one
after the other who were based in Baghdad. The 1st of them was known
as Usman bin Saeed, the 2nd was his son Mohammad bin Usman, the 3rd
was Husain bin Ruh and the 4th was Ali bin Mohammad al-Samari or
Saymuri.

Before the death of the 4th Safeer, Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS) informed him
to inform the Ummah that there will be no nominated Safeer after him
as the major occultation will start during which the general deputy of
the Imam will be most pious scholars who gained from the knowledge of
the Ahlul Bayt (AS) and practiced it.

Imam is alive by the miracle of Allah (SWT) though his age now is 1185
years but it is the order of Allah (SWT) and we have in the history
that the lifespan of Prophet Nuh (AS) was 2500 years and also we
Muslims believe that al’Khidhr (AS) who was alive during
the time of Prophet Musa (AS) is still alive which means over 4000
years.

Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS) during his major occultation meets and
guides people without letting them know and in rare cases for the very
pious, they know that its him but as the tyrant people are after his
life Allah (SWT) kept him away from their danger and his movements and
meetings are completely secret.

He will return back to the public life when Allah (SWT) permits him to
establish the worldwide state or peace and justice. He will declare
his reappearance from the Ka'aba in Makkah. His pious assistants will
be 313 from many parts of the worlds from male and female very pious
believers. He will also be supported by ten thousand pious believers
who will help him in managing the administration of the world.
No place in the world will remain away from the pan-state of justice
and peace.

The time of his reappearance in public life is not known to us but we
believe it won’t be very far away from now as Allah (SWT) says in the Holy
Qur’an in Surah 70, Ayat 6 and 7(They see it too far and we see it not far)( انهم يرونه بعيدا ونراه قريبا)

Prophet Jesus (AS) is one of the five most important prophets who are
called Ulul-Azm. He is alive in the sky after Allah (SWT) saved him
from the criminal attempt of his enemies who wanted to crucify and
kill him.

Prophet Jesus (AS) will be permitted by Allah (SWT) to come down to
the earth after the reappearance of the Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS) in public
life to support him. This is the main reason that Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS)
will not have any opposition from the Christian world.

The circulated narration is not authentic at all and it contradicts with the authentic narrations from the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) that his successors will be twelve only.

Those who are behind circulating this false narration are trying to prove a claim of a person in Basra Iraq who is been financed by enemies of Shia to create a rift between the Shia. He claims that he is the son of the Imam Al-Mahdi (AS) while people of his town know his father and family and confirm that he is a liar.

More details about this liar and his false claims and his financiers are available on many Shia websites.

Yes, the hadith exists. However, some people use it to promote movements or groups that are active today, and that is not correct. The hadith is speaking about the time AFTER the reappearance of the 12th Imam (i.e. the Mahdi), an event that will be accompanied by major signs. We will know when it happens, and it has not happened yet!

The hadith is mentioned in Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 53, p. 148, no. 6 and 7. One says that after the Mahdi (A) appears, the other Imams will be brought back to life and live and die, and then after them, 12 "mahdis". The other just speaks of 12 "mahdis" after the "mahdi".

Since this hadith is about something predicted for the end of time, it isn't possible to say whether it is correct or not. There is consensus on certain general predictions for the end of time - such as the return of the Mahdi, the raj'ah or return to life of those of most intense faith and most intense wickedness, and some major signs. However, details like this may or may not be accurate.
