An adornment is generally an accessory or ornament worn to enhance the beauty or status of the wearer. They are often worn to embellish, enhance, or distinguish the wearer, and to define cultural, social, or religious status within a specific community.

With regards to verse 24:31, it doesn’t mention all the mahrams the women could ‘show her adornment’ to. Is there a difference in what the women should wear in front of other mahrams not mentioned in the list?

In the case of other Muharrams, such as uncles , there is not much difference with others like father or brother, except for differences based on the culture of that community. But logically there is difference between husband and others.

The Qur'an verse 24:31 indicates many individuals who are Mahram, where the women can show her adornment to, but the list is not exhaustive. Does that mean others who are Mahram, such as a son-in-law, cannot be shown any adornment?

The rules of mahramiyyah apply to all mahrams: those mentioned in the ayah and those who are not mentioned.
