Imam Husayn

Al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī ibn Abi Talib (ٱلْحُسَيْن ابْن عَلِي ابْن أَبِي طَالِب‎‎; 10 October 625 – 10 October 680; also transliterated as Husayn ibn Ali, Husain, Hussain and Hussein) was a grandson of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and a son of Ali ibn Abi Talib (the first Shia Imam and the fourth Rashid caliph of Sunni Islam) and Muhammad's daughter Fatimah. He is an important figure in Islam as he was a member of the Bayt (Household) of Muhammad and the Ahl al-Kisā' (People of the Cloak), as well as the third Shia Imam.

This is untrue.

Infallible never prays behind a sinner. Such narrations are fabricated even if you find them in a book compiled by a Shia author. This narration is mentioned in Nawaadir Al-Raawandi, page 30 but it has no value nor any authenticity.

There is no re birth but resurrections or return to this life which known as  Raj'ah رجعة.

Raj'ah is the return of best servants of Allah and worst enemies of Allah to this life again to witness the victory of Islam and the punishment of its enemies. It is mentioned in Quran ( Sura Ghaafir, verse 11).

Imam Hussain (AS) will come back to this life in Raj'ah.

Not true.

The sacred head of Imam Husain (AS) is buried in Karbala with his sacred body by Imam Zainul Abideen (AS) when he returned from Damascus on his way to Madina. The head which is buried in Cairo is the head of Zaid ibn Ali ibn Al-Husain (AS) who is a grand son of imam Husain (AS). Zaid was a great Mo'min who was killed by Umayyad tyrant government in year 122 after Hijra.

Tabari mentioned in his famous book of history Tareekh al-Tabari (V. 8, P.187) that Yazeed openly declared his infidelity and denying Islam when he saw the head of Imam Husain (AS) by saying:

لعبت هاشم بالملك فلا.   خبرٌ جاء ولا وحيٌ  نزل

Hashim family (of the Prophet) played with rule, otherwise, nothing came from God, nor any revelation was sent.

This poem of the cursed Yazeed is narrated in many other Sunni books.

As we know, having a kunya, or teknonym is mustahab, and customarily it is saying the father/mother of, or Abū/Um , and the name of the elder son. At times it could be the elder daughter, or maybe not the elder son. Of course, this is also something very special and unique to the Arabic language as well.

For example, for the holy Prophet (s.a.w.), we say Abū al-Qāsim, or Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.), we say Abū Abdullah, even though his elder son was Isma'il.

Or for Imam al-Mahdi (a.a.f.), we say Abā Sālih. And other Imams (a.s.) as well.

Even with Abū Sufyān, apparently in history, he did not have a son by the name of Sufyān.

Although it is said the Imam Husain (a.s.) did have a son by the name of 'Abdullah, but he was not the older son.

As Shi'ah, our belief is that the names, the titles, and the teknonyms of our Ma'sumeen (a.s.) are all designated and appointed by Allah ta'ala, through Gabriel (a.s.) and given by the Prophet (s.a.w.).

There has been mentioning that the holy Prophet (s.a.w.) referred to Imam Husain (a.s.) with this kunya while he was still very young.

And Allah knows best

اللهمّ بالحسين الوجيه وجدّه وأبيه واُمه وأخيه والمعصومين من بنيه اجعلني مع الحسين وآله الطاهرين وأصحابه الطيّبين .

No doubt at all that Imam Hasan (AS) and Imam Husain (AS) are the two masters of all the youth in Paradise. This fact has been mentioned in many  Hadeeths in Sunni and Shia books. The Hadeeth states also : Their father is better than them وأبوهما خير منهما. Al-Mustadrak ala al-Saheehain by al-Haakim al-Nisabori , V.3, P.182.

All believers in the Paradise will be young even if they dies in old age. There will be no old age in Paradise. The masters of all in the Paradise will be the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) being the Best of all creatures, then Imam Ali (As) as it is mentioned in the Hadeeth, then Imam Hasan (AS) and Imam Husain (AS).

This is a thoughtful question that shows reflection on the historical account.

Insofar as there is no answer mentioned in history books, it is not possible to give an answer.

If I were to guess, perhaps it would have aroused too much suspicion to bring water, or perhaps it was an emotional and sudden moment and he was not thinking about things, or perhaps some other reason.

Ayatollah Motahhari was of the view that it is not correct that they were without water for 3 days and nights. See https://www.al-islam.org/al-tawhid/vol13-no3/ashura-misrepresentations-d...

I don't think there is historical evidence that they were without food, however, the lack of water is much more dire.

God knows best!

We need first to define the meaning of Premature death. Because no one dies before his time. That does not mean that every death is Natural. Those who are killed have died in their own time of death. Those who died as victims of a crime of killing, died in their own time of death. We differ with some Non-Muslims who claim that there is a Premature death which means as they claim, that a person who is killed has died before his time of death. They Think that the age which is for certain age group is the maturity for death. Anyone dies before that maturity age as they claim has died Prematurely. This is their own opinion which does not come along with what we read in Quran and Authentic Hadeeths. “Wa Ma Kana Le Nafsin An Tamouta Ella Bi ‘ithnillah Kitaaban Mo’ajjala” ( 3:145)– No one dies but only by permission of Allah, according to written time”
The way of dying can be Natural, and can be a Crime, and can be any other way. Time is written by Allah on everyone from us. Prophet Yahya (AS) was killed by a tyrant of His time instigated by a bad woman from Bani Israeel. Allah knew that such crime will happen, but the knowledge of Allah about a Crime which is to take place does not mean that Allah has permitted the killing. Allah (SWT) informed the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and His Holy Progeny) that His grandson Hussain will be killed in Karbala. Also informed him that Ameerul Mo'mineen Ali (A.S.) will be killed by Ibne Muljim in Kufa. That does not mean that Allah has permitted the Crime at all.

Yes, of course you may write about Imam Husain (a.s.) and his humanitarian movement in standing against injustice and oppression. I'm sure you are able to be creative in your style and select things to write that would be of benefit to the readers in your school. There are many elements of the personality and revolution of Imam Husain (a.s.), and you will need to take that into consideration when you want to introduce such a wonderful personality to those around you. Write about his sacrifice, his moral life, his social reform movement, the loyalty of his companions, and so on.

With prayers for your success.
