Bandage

A bandage is a piece of material used either to support a medical device such as a dressing or splint, or on its own to provide support to or to restrict the movement of a part of the body. When used with a dressing, the dressing is applied directly on a wound, and a bandage used to hold the dressing in place. Other bandages are used without dressings, such as elastic bandages that are used to reduce swelling or provide support to a sprained ankle.

When you do a ghusl, you must make sure that there is nothing that would prevent water from getting to your skin.

Unless of course water would harm a particular area and you must keep it dry. In this case, you perform Ghusl Jabirah.

However, if you can get it wet, and you are able to remove the bandage, even though it could be inconvenient or hurt a bit when taking it off, then try to bear it, do the ghusl, and then use a disinfectant and put a new bandage on.

And Allah knows best.
