Chapter 78: Those Who Omit The Ziyarah Of Imam Al-Husayn ('A)

Tradition 1: Imam Al-Baqir ('a) said: Those of our Shia who don't perform the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a) lack in faith and their belief is incomplete. And even if they enter Paradise, their position will be lower than that of believers.

Tradition 2: Same as no. 1.

Tradition 3: Imam As-Sadiq (‘a) Said: One who thinks he is a Shia but does not perform the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a) before his death, is not our Shia and even if he is of those who enter Paradise, he will be treated as a visitor of the folks of Paradise.

Tradition 4: Imam Al-Baqir (‘a) said: One who wants to know if he will be from the folks of Paradise or not should present our love to his heart. If his heart accepts them, then he is a believer. And one who loves us, should surely desire going to the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a).

One who repeatedly performs the Ziyarah of Imam Husayn (‘a) is recognized by us as our lover and he will be among the folks of Paradise, whereas the faith of one who does not perform the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a) is incomplete.

Tradition 5: Imam As-Sadiq (‘a) was asked about one who omits the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a) for no reason. Imam ('a) said, “He will be from the folks of Hell.”

Tradition 6: Imam As-Sadiq (‘a) said: If one of you goes for Hajj a thousand times but does not perform the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a), he has forsaken one of his divine obligations and he will be accountable for it on Judgment Day. Fulfilling one's obligation to Imam· Husayn ('a) is necessary and obligatory on every Muslim.

Tradition 7: A part of tradition 2 of Chapter 44.
