قال الحافظ ابن شهر آشوب في كتاب (المناقب) في ذكر حديث الغدير كما في (بحار الانوار) :الخركوشي في شرف المصطفى عن ‏البراء بن عازب في خبر: فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: اللهم وال من والاه وعاد من عاداه، فلقيه عمر بعد ذلك فقال: هنيئا لك يا ‏ابن أبي طالب، أصبحت وأمسيت مولى كل مؤمن ومؤمنة.‏
