Ramadan: The Year long Energizer
Fasting, not only, you know, from eating and drinking, but every body part. Hopefully we've all fasted from hearing anything that is haram, seeing anything that is unlawful, doing anything, from saying anything that angers Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala. And this is the true success of a believer in the month of Ramadan.
As we come to the end of the spiritual journey, first of all, we need to realize that this end really is a beginning, it's not really the end. Many of us think that towards the end of the month of Ramadan, the month is coming to an end, and this spiritual journey is also coming to the end.
Brothers and sisters, this is only the beginning. Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, has prepared us for a month so that the next eleven months until the following year in the month of Ramadan, we have prepared ourselves spiritually, with respect to our faith, with respect to our moral standards. We have prepared ourselves for the upcoming year.
That is like going to school or College. When you graduate from College, from University, from school. True, that is the end of those days in which you study. But that's only the beginning. It is the beginning of a new chapter in your life. It is the beginning of a new career, of a new profession.
That's how we should view the month of Ramadhan. That it is not an end. It is actually a beginning. Let's not be amongst those which the hadith says that towards the end of times there will come people, Muslims, who will only worship God in the month of Ramadan.
You see them that only in this Holy month, during these 30 days, they kind of worship Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala. They focus a bit on the book of God, on the supplications. But once this month is over, that's it. They say they bid their farewell and say they goodbyes to their religion, to the book of Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, and they wish to meet it once again next year.
Let's not be amongst those Muslims. Let's view the month of Ramadan as a month in which Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, has spiritually prepared us for the following.
Fasten, nicht nur von Essen und Trinken, sondern von jedem Körperteil. Hoffentlich haben wir alle gefastet, nichts zu hören, was haram ist, nichts zu sehen, was ungesetzlich ist, nichts zu tun, nichts zu sagen, was Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, verärgert. Und das ist der wahre Erfolg eines Gläubigen im Monat Ramadan.
Wenn wir uns dem Ende der spirituellen Reise nähern, müssen wir zunächst einmal erkennen, dass dieses Ende wirklich ein Anfang ist, es ist nicht wirklich das Ende. Viele von uns denken, dass gegen Ende des Monats Ramadan der Monat zu Ende geht, und dass auch diese spirituelle Reise zu Ende geht.
Brüder und Schwestern, dies ist erst der Anfang. Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, hat uns einen Monat lang vorbereitet, so dass wir uns in den nächsten elf Monaten bis zum nächsten Jahr im Monat Ramadan geistig, in Bezug auf unseren Glauben, in Bezug auf unsere moralischen Standards vorbereitet haben. Wir haben uns auf das kommende Jahr vorbereitet.
Das ist so, als würde man zur Schule oder zum College gehen. Wenn man das College, die Universität oder die Schule abschließt. Das ist zwar das Ende der Zeit, in der man studiert hat. Aber das ist nur der Anfang. Es ist der Beginn eines neuen Kapitels in Ihrem Leben. Es ist der Beginn einer neuen Karriere, eines neuen Berufs.
So sollten wir den Monat Ramadhan sehen. Er ist nicht das Ende. Er ist eigentlich ein Anfang. Lasst uns nicht zu denen gehören, von denen der Hadith sagt, dass am Ende der Zeiten Menschen kommen werden, Muslime, die Gott nur im Monat Ramadan anbeten werden.
Sie sehen, dass sie nur in diesem heiligen Monat, während dieser 30 Tage, Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, anbeten. Sie konzentrieren sich ein wenig auf das Buch Gottes, auf die Bittgebete. Aber wenn dieser Monat vorbei ist, war's das. Sie sagen, dass sie sich von ihrer Religion und dem Buch Allahs, Subhana wa Ta'ala, verabschieden und wünschen sich, ihm im nächsten Jahr wieder zu begegnen.
Lasst uns nicht zu diesen Muslimen gehören. Betrachten wir den Monat Ramadan als einen Monat, in dem Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, uns geistig auf das Folgende vorbereitet hat.
Digiunare. Sapete, non significa soltanto astenersi dal mangiare e dal bere, ma coinvolge ogni parte del corpo. Speriamo di avere digiunato tutti astenendoci dal sentire ciò che è haram, dal vedere ciò che è illecito, dal fare o dire qualcosa che suscita l'ira di Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala. Ed è questo il vero successo di un credente nel mese di Ramadan.
Quando arriviamo alla fine di questo viaggio spirituale, prima di tutto dobbiamo renderci conto che questa fine in realtà è un inizio, non è affatto la fine. Verso la fine del mese di Ramadan molti di noi pensano che siccome il mese sta per finire anche questo viaggio spirituale sta per finire.
Fratelli e sorelle, questo è solo l'inizio! Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, ci ha allenato per un mese in modo che nei prossimi undici mesi, fino al mese di Ramadan dell'anno successivo, siamo preparati spiritualmente: rispetto alla nostra fede, rispetto ai nostri criteri morali. Ci siamo preparati per il prossimo anno.
È come quando andiamo a scuola o all'università: quando prendi il diploma o la laurea, è vero, il periodo degli studi è finito, ma è soltanto l'inizio. È l'inizio di un nuovo capitolo della tua vita. È l'inizio di una nuova carriera, di una nuova professione.
Ecco come dovremmo vedere il mese di Ramadan! Non è una fine, in realtà è un inizio. Cerchiamo di non essere tra quelli di cui parla l'hadith' [narrazione] che dice: "Verso la fine dei tempi ci saranno persone, musulmani, che adoreranno Dio soltanto nel mese di Ramadan". Vedi? Soltanto in questo mese santo, durante questi trenta giorni, adorano Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala. Si concentrano un po' sul libro di Dio, sulle suppliche. Ma una volta che il mese è finito, questo è tutto. Si congedano e dicono alla loro religione, al Libro di Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala: "Addio! ci vediamo il prossimo anno!"
Cerchiamo di non essere tra quei musulmani! Consideriamo il mese di Ramadan come un mese in cui Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, ci ha preparato spiritualmente per quello che viene dopo.
