What Allah tells the poor on the Day of Judgment
Salamun alaykum, wa Rahmat Ullah. Many times when we come across somebody who might be financially struggling, we might assume that their life has nothing to do with our life, and because of that, we may not care for them as much as we can, or help them out as much as we can.
But the reality is that Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala is watching us to see how we treat that individual.
In a beautiful hadith, the 6th Imam says that on the day of Judgment, Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala will call for His poor servants. And when these poor servants gather in one place, He will address them and He will tell them that I did not have you struggle in this world to dishonor you. It was the opposite of that. It was because I wanted you to be amongst the chosen in this world. And therefore, you have the rights today, to look amongst people, and whoever helped you in this world, you can take their hand and take them into Heaven.
We pray to Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala that we can help those who are less fortunate. Wa as-salamu alaykum, wa Rahmat Ullah.
Salamun alaykum, wa Rahmatullah. Vaak als we iemand tegenkomen die het financieel moeilijk heeft, gaan we ervan uit dat hun leven niets met ons leven te maken heeft, en daarom geven we misschien niet zoveel om hen als we kunnen, of helpen we hen niet zoveel als we kunnen.
Maar de realiteit is dat Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala naar ons kijkt om te zien hoe we die persoon behandelen.
In een prachtige hadith zegt de 6e Imam dat op de Dag des Oordeels Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala Zijn arme dienaren zal oproepen. En wanneer deze arme dienaren zich verzamelen op één plaats, zal Hij hen toespreken en Hij zal hen zeggen: Ik heb jullie niet laten strijden in deze wereld om jullie te onteren. Het was het tegenovergestelde daarvan. Het was omdat Ik wilde dat jullie tot de uitverkorenen in deze wereld behoorden. En daarom heb je vandaag het recht om tussen de mensen te kijken en wie je ook heeft geholpen in deze wereld, je kunt hun hand nemen en hen meenemen naar de Hemel.
We bidden tot Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala dat we de minderbedeelden kunnen helpen. Wa as-salamu alaykum, wa Rahmatullah.
