Bismihi ta'āla

No, it would not be considered extravagance, or waste, as long as you do not prolong your shower, wasting water and electricity/gas.

There is no shar'i limit for how long you should take a shower. It would just be common sense. A shower should not take more than 3-4 mins. The sunnah of the Prophet (s.a.w.), is the water used for a ghusl should not be more than the amount of a jug of water.

And Allah knows best

Prayers (Salah) performed with out real purity (Taharah) is invalid and need to be redone, but fasts done with ignorance with out purity do not need to be redone.

Wassalam.

If you discovered that your Ghusl was definitely wring after 6 to 7 hours, you must redo the Ghusl in the proper way and perform your obligatory Prayer after the valid Ghusl. Invalid Ghusl means every worship performed after it is invalid until you perform a valid Ghusl.

Wassalam.

You do not need to repeat your fasting days if your ignorance was out of your hands, but you do need to perform your obligatory prayers after performing Ghusl.

Wassalam.
