Shia Muslims follow the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) which was taken from the most reliable narrators who are Ahlul Bayt (AS). Non Shia Muslims follow weak narrations fabricated by their rulers who did not care for the real Sunnah but paid money to narrators to fabricate whatever the rulers wanted. Wiping over the socks is against Quran which orders to wipe over the feet not the socks. Sura 5, verse 6.
