Lead A Happy & Blessed Life - Timeout with the Holy Qur'an

Ayah in focus - Surah Al-Nahl (16:97) A goodly pure life is where a person has a restful heart and a faithful spirit. Contentment lies in submission to the will of Allah (SWT). This is best manifested in the timeless words of Lady Zaynab (a).

When Zaynab, alayha as-salam, the daughter of Ameer ul-Mu'mineen, alayhi as-salaam, was taken as a prisoner, to Ubaydullah Ibn Ziyad in Kufa and he looked at her in his court and said to her "What do you think of what Allah has done to you?" Her reply was "maa ra'aytu illa jamilah" - I did not see anything but beauty from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Despite her calamities, tragedies, afflictions, the pain that she is having inside for the loss of Al-Imam Al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, yet she is at peace and tranquility.

This is what is achieved when a person believes in Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala and acts righteously. When we experience problems, we should say, 'Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un' (2:156) [We belong to Him and to Him is our return].

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says in Surat al-Nahl in verse 97- whoever, acts righteously, [whether] male or female should he be faithful, We shall revive him with a good life and pay them their reward by the best of what they used to do.(16:7).

We pray to Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, to bless us with a good, blessed life with His pleasure.

(Qur'an 16:7).
