Food

It is not true to say that every locust is Halal to eat. Locusts which die in the water or on the earth are not Halal at all.  The Hadeeth from Ali Ibn Jafar, the brother of Imam Musa Ibn Jafar (AS): I asked Abul Hasan (AS) (Imam Musa Ibn Jafar): About the locusts found dead in the water or  in the desert, can it be eaten? Imam said: Do not eat it. (Wasaa'il Al-Shia, Hadeeth number 30067).

Only locusts which are taken alive then die are Halal (Hadeeth number 30068 in Wasaa'il Al-Shia).

The people in Arabia used to eat all types of locusts and many of them still eat it, but Islam forbade eating the dead locusts and the small locusts as well till it Fly.

Usually, non Arab Muslims do not eat and even do not like the idea of eating locusts, while many Arabs specially those wo live in the desert, do.

It is not necessary for the Imam (AS) himself to eat every thing which is allowed to eat or to do every thing which allowed to do. Imam (AS) is the Best and Most humble servant of Allah (SWT) and he does only the best deeds and not every deed which is allowed for general public who have their their own needs and circumstances.

It is allowed to feed the animal non Halal food or Najis meat as the animals are not responsible to avoid non Halal.

You need to be careful that your home or clothes do not get Najis from that Najis food.

Pescetarians are vegetarians who do not eat any type of meat except fish.

It is allowed to do that for some time, but it is not allowed to claim that eating meat is totally harmful . The Prophets and infallible Imams (AS) used to eat mean and Allah (SWT) is ordering us to eat from the meat of the animal which we sacrifice (Sura Al-Hajj, Sura 28).

It is Makrouh (disliked) to eat meat daily for 40 days, and Makrouh as well to abandon eating meat for 40 days. The believers eat a little of meat even if they prefer vegetarian food, but claiming that eating meat is totally harmful contradicts with the Quran and teachings of the Prophets and Infallible Imams.

Eating paper can be harmful full health. If your medical doctors allow you to eat a very small piece  of paper, you will then be allowed to write on that very small piece Quranic words.

There are many books compiled on medical narrations on health and food from the Prophet (SAWA) like Tibb al-Nabi or Al-Tibb Al-Nabawi and from Ahlul Bayt (AS) like Tabb Al-A'yimmah or Tibb Al-Sadiq (AS).

Sayyed Mahmood Dehsurkhi who is a well known scholar in Hadeeth (passed away recently in Qum) has a books in this regard called Ramz Al-Sihhah Fi Tibb Al-Nabi wal A'iymmah. He has collected in 277 pages good number of Hadeeths in health and food. The book was published by Lahoot publications tel. +98-251-7747493.

There are many other pub;ished books in this regards.

You do not need to get rid of the cat. The bowl and all items are not Najis unless you have an evidence that it had wet Najis item in it. If you know that it is Najis, then just washing it with water will make it Taahir.

It depends on the oil and other materials used in cooking or preparing the food. If the oil is Taahir and oil and utensils are not used in preparing Najis food, then it is allowed.

Muslim is not allowed to sell or serve or carry or deliver or take money or make accounts or do any thing related to alcohol and pork. Other non Halal meat like beef, mutton, chicken etc is also not allowed to sell to Muslims. Selling it to non Muslims who believe that it is allowed for them, is allowed according to many Maraaji' of Taqleed.

Muslim cashier is not allowed to take money for alcohol or pork.
