In Islam, duʿāʾ (Arabic: دُعَاء, plural: ʾadʿiyah أدْعِيَة), literally meaning "invocation", is an act of supplication. The term is derived from an Arabic word meaning to 'call out' or to 'summon', and Muslims regard this as a profound act of worship.

We seek forgiveness for every believer in Allah, the Prophet (SAWA) and Ahlul Bayt (AS). Muslims friends who were born in non Shia families and have high regards for Ahlul Bayt need our prayers to understand the real position of Ahlul Bayt in Islam as the divine leaders after the Prophet (SAWA).

All prayers and du'as are good. Sincerely and wholeheartedly beseeching Allah to assist a person and to seek tawassul of Ahl al-Bayt (A) in helping them is very powerful, for any problem. (This is, of course, for people who agree theologically with tawassul.)

First of all, you should never tell any one or his family that he is a victim of Jinn. That telling itself can be a sinful act from you because of many reasons; A) You doubt about Jinn is not a concrete evidence that he is a definite victim of Jinn. B) Telling him or his family that he is a victim of Jinn will usually harm his mental state and make him feel defeated, helpless victim and negative.
Second point in such cases is to recite Quranic verses which help in protection, prevention as well as cure such as Ayatul Kursi, Sura Al-Falaq, Sura Al-Naas, Sura Al-Hamd and Sura Al-Tawheed and other Suras.
Reciting Quranic verses will help in any case whether he is been harmed by Jinn or not. It will help in protection and prevention as well as in cure.

You are not allowed to pray for your death. Death will come when it comes.
Pray instead that Allah helps you to stop the sins or shows you a way to end them (for instance, if someone has an addiction, this could be an intervention that actually works), forgives the sins, and heals any harm to yourself or others they may have caused. If it is possible to make adjustments to your life to reduce or avoid the sins (such as moving to a different place or household), also do that.
Allah is all-powerful and things that seem like miracles happen!

We need to remind ourselves about these facts:
1. The Mercy of Allah is much greater that our imaginations and bigger than all the difficulties. Allah says in Quran : And My Mercy involved everything (Sura 7, Verse 156).
2. Allah is The Absolute Able to Grant whatever He wants to whomever He wants. We need to keep on seeking from Him and we should never lose hope in His Mercy.
3. We don't know when it will be good for us to get our wishes, so, we must trust Allah's Wisdom and Mercy which will definitely come whenever Allah Knows that it is good for us.

We need to keep on seeking our needs from Allah (SWT) with full confidence that Allah Listens and Responds and Grants us the best according to His Knowledge, Generosity and Mercy. We should never lose hope in The Mecy of Allah.
We also need to continue Istighfaar (seeking forgiveness) for sins which we remember or don't remember.
We should be sure that Allah Will Grant us the best of our wishes whenever it will be suitable for us to get it.

There are many Du'as in this regard e.g, RABBI EJ'ALNI MOQEEMASSALATI WAMIN THURRIYYATI RABBANA WA TAQABBAL DU'AA.
Starung every Du'a and ending it with Salawaat is very helpful in accepting the Du'a.

We have narrations from Ahlul Bayt (AS) stating that it is recommended after Du's to wipe your hands on your face. Your hands seeking from Allah in Du'a will never be empty from the gifts and bounties of Allah. Wiping on your face will make your face blessed as well. This is not during Salah.
We don't have any authentic evidence on wiping hand after reciting Sura Al-Fatiha. Some people do it just because it is been done by Sunni brothers who read Sura Al-Fatiha like a Du'a. It has no authentic evidence neither in our books nor in Sunni books.

There are many Du'as and Quranic verses for blessing the home after insuring that the home is not a place of committing sinful acts, e.g. Ayatul Kursi , Sura Al-Hamd, Sura Falaq and Sura Naas etc. it is very useful to recite Quran or play Quranic recitation at home as well as Majlis of Ahlul Bayt (AS). A Hadeeth states: The most liked homes to Allah is the home where an orphan lives with honor.
Homes in which Night Prayer is performed lights for the angles of the sky like the stars which light for people of earth.
